We attended the Global Corrections Digital Technology conference in Barcelona from 27-28 May.
The European Organisation of Prison and Correctional Services (EuroPris) in cooperation with the International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA) and the Confederation of European Probation (CEP) organised the first Global Corrections Digital Technology Conference, ‘Technology in Corrections: Challenges for the Future’ and the event was hosted by the Justice Department, Government of Catalonia.
The aim of the conference was to challenge the private sector to develop innovative digital solutions for use in corrections to address issues facing prisons and probation services, provide networking opportunities for technology experts in the corrections industry and also to promote the use and implementation of advanced Digital Technology Solutions in corrections – these aims certainly were fulfilled.
The conference was a great success and we found it extremely educational. It was a great way to challenge other companies and also to be challenged. It was also a great opportunity to meet highly innovative technology companies doing great things across the globe. We are looking forward to next year already!
During the event we gave a presentation on The Use of Technology to Empower Offenders. If you missed it you can view our presentation here: Core Systems – Using Technology to Empower Offenders
