Hardware maintenance

As businesses become increasingly dependent on Information Technology systems, it is essential that computer equipment remains operational to support the business function.

Core Systems offer a range of hardware maintenance services to contract customers to support their IT systems. Hardware is maintained under a contract, which can be tailored to meet specific requirements.

Hardware maintenance services include:

  • On site call out service during contract cover period
  • Replacement of defective parts, units or sub units
  • Adjustments and alignments to bring the equipment up to the manufacturers specification
  • Loan replacement equipment with the same or equivalent product, if a workshop repair is necessary

Additional hardware services such as contingency planning and disaster recovery service are available.

Hardware maintenance cover is available on the following types of equipment, subject to inspection.

  • PC Workstations and File Servers
  • Computer Peripheral Devices (e.g., printers, scanners, barcode readers)
  • Network Cabling and Communications Equipment

Software support

Considerable technical expertise is required to operate and maintain effective IT systems, ensuring that staff have access to the data and software tools necessary to do their jobs. This can be achieved by employing dedicated IT personnel or contracting out to a service provider such as Core Systems.

At Core Systems we aim to provide the appropriate level of technical support to supplement in-house IT skills. We can offer various levels of software support ranging from user support to full system administration.

Our range of software support services include;

  • Telephone Support
  • Remote Access Support
  • On–site support in the event of serious problem, which can not be resolved by telephone or remote access
  • Contingency – reinstallation of operating system in the event of software corruption or hardware failure
  • Best endeavours commitment in a critical situation (working beyond normal office hours if necessary)

Calls received by Core Systems are recorded on our call logging system. This ensures that all problems can easily be traced and designated to a member of staff who will be most capable to deal with your problem.
