Product description

Secure Image Processing System

SIPS is a photographic/image processing system designed to capture and store digital images within a controlled environment. It facilitates a secure central database of images and related data. It can be operated in a Wide Area Network environment, with encryption for secure data transfer and storage.

The system incorporates the following functions;

  • Image Capture
  • Image Processing
  • Image Printing
  • Image and Data Storage
  • Image and Data Archive
  • Security & Image Tracking

Benefits

  • Instant image processing (no delay waiting on film processing).
  • Image preview facility - see the image before printing.
  • Shared access to images - images are stored centrally and can be accessed at multiple sites/locations as required.
  • Ease of use - the image capture facility uses touch screen technology to make the process simple and easy to use.
  • Low running costs - compared to conventional photography methods.
  • Time saving - Images are printed directly onto ID cards with relevant information as a one step process.

Features

Image Capture

  • Facilitates digital image capture and processing.
  • Polaroid PDC2000 and Olympus C-1400XL digital cameras used for image capture.
  • Cameras tethered to a PC or used stand alone.

Image Processing

  • Images processed - by cropping and resizing.
  • Alphanumeric captions can be attached to images.
  • Print layouts defined by templates consisting of images and text data captured by the system.

Image Printing

  • Images displayed or printed locally at any location connected to the main file server.
  • Print quality colour output from low-end inkjet printers - due to high resolution images captured from the digital camera
  • Faster colour laser printers can be used if print speed is an issue.

Image Tracking

  • Image tracking through the entire life cycle from capture to destruction.
  • Trace status and location of each image by audit report.
  • Monitor movement of images between sites.

CD-R archive

  • A facility to archive images onto CD enables images to be stored on Writable CD’s (CD-R).
  • Images on CD-R protected by the fingerprint recognition security feature.

Security

System Security

  • System security - Each facility restricted on both a user and a workstation basis.
  • An audit trail records all actions by every user
  • View/print audit trail by authorised users only.

Fingerprint Recognition

  • Fingerprint Recognition - Access from workstations controlled using fingerprint identification technology.

Touch Screen Technology

  • Touchscreen technology used at the image capture stage, enabling ease of use and enhanced system security.
